Alma, Amulek, and the sons of Mosiah continued their missionary work throughout the land. In particular, Ammon taught King Lamoni and his father, the Lamanite king, the gospel.  Lamoni, his father, and many of their people believed, repented, and were baptized. The people of King Lamoni gave up their weapons and became a peaceful people.Many of the sons of Mosiah were beaten, imprisoned, and persecuted as they tried to teach the gospel of Jesus Christ to the Lamanites and the Zoramites. However, the Lord helped them and eventually blessed them in their missionary work.
