Memories of the USSR - Moscow 1959/60

This Book is based on the author’s second journey to Moscow and the surrounding area.  The visit began with a New Year’s Eve banquet at the plush National Hotel and was followed by excursions on foot or by bus to Red Square, the Kremlin, the Bolshoi Theatre, the monastery at Zagorsk, a country village and Moscow suburbs.  The rough but warm clothing worn by everyone gives a taste of the harshness of the Russian winter.  Brief but informative captions explain the photographs and also certain social phenomena of the time such as “businessmen” and “speculation”. The book contains music clips.
