I’m not underestimated. I’m strategically ignored.
That’s how they discredit me, silence me, and bury me in a black site that doesn’t exist. They don’t want me dead–they want me unstable.
But I survive long enough to learn the truth. And now, I know too much for them to let me go.
Asher doesn’t save me. He sees me.
As we work to expose the system that tried to destroy me, Asher doesn’t fight my need for control. He quietly adjusts around it. Moves when I need him to. Stays still when I don’t. With him, I don’t have to make myself smaller. I’m safe in a way I’ve never felt before.
