Descripción editorial

The pictorial book presents the visual context which contains more than 100 colour photographs of rich variety of Buddha statues, mainly principal images from temples around the kingdom.

Thailand has a rich culture of the Theravada Buddhism for as far back as 12th century. The people practice religious rituals which many say different from other Buddhist countries. This makes Thai Buddhism a very unique and very interesting.

With the long history of deep-rooted Buddhism, Thai people had been and still are producing exquisite, state-of-the-art Buddha statues around the country. All of them have a story or two to tell and have purposely built with different postures and styles. It would take several years to travel to each temple just to pay homage and photograph these revered Buddha images.
