In the first issue of Volume 2, DMOST explores a number of techniques for cataract surgery from around the world. Dr Hoffman demonstrates his Biaxial Phaco technique while Dr Fishkind discusses the finer points of Phaco Chop. Dr Ruit from Nepal gives a comprehensive explanation for manual small incision cataract surgery (MSICS), which has been instrumental in the fight to eradicate cataract blindness in the developing world. Dr McKee and Dr Price show several examples of the management of complex cataract surgery. Finally Dr Schoenberg and Dr Ayyala give us insights into canaloplasty for the management of glaucoma.
