Caitlin's efforts to deal with experiencing another time and place, as well as finding her way back home, are complicated when she learns that her preteen son, Jacob, is also present in Galderkhaan in spirit. The plot features further bizarre occurrences that will appeal to X-Files fans, including a spontaneous human combustion, en route to a resolution that leaves the door open to a possible return to the authors' well-constructed imaginary realm.
