Life journeys are rarely smooth, although we always expect them to be. He encourages us to defeat our hinderances by shifting our gaze from them and focusing instead on Christ and His glorious power. One of the things that makes Christ unique is that He does not give recognition to obstructions and hinderances. When there was no boat around, He walked on the sea as if the sea was the normal ground. When He rose from the dead, He stepped out of the grave without struggling with the stone that blocked the entrance. When the grave was eventually opened, Jesus was no longer inside it.
