Virtually Ideal Episode 2: So Much Potential

"Tonight I finally get to meet Mr. Timothy Farren, writer extraordinaire and the only person who understood my 17-year-old soul. Unfortunately, despite having planned this moment all of my adult life, the actual reality is going to be the most awkward situation I’ve ever been in.
Why is a successful outcome for tonight’s meeting running at 1:100 with the bookies? First of all, this is the man I’ve fantasised about for 12 years. I have introduced myself to him close on a thousand times, and if any of those soap opera lines get stuck in my head tonight, I may as well kill myself.
Second, Amelia, proud owner of Precious Literary Agency and my evil overlord, is only introducing us so I, unpaid intern, can convince him, creative genius, to write a new book. Not even Amelia’s sure how I’m meant to achieve this.
And then there’s the third point: my little sister somehow thinks we’re dating. As it’s unlikely he’s going to agree to be the long-time boyfriend of someone he’s never met, I also need to break up with him."

It was only a few days that Laurie’s little sister Yannie exploded into tears because her boyfriend had proposed. At the time, Laurie thought was perfectly reasonable to encourage Yannie to say yes. Yet somehow it started Laurie down the rabbit hole of trying to organize a wedding, and her life, in seven weeks.

Over 12 hour-long episodes (depending how fast you read, of course) follow the trials and tribulations of Laurie Barker as she turns to internet dating to find the man of her dreams in time for her little sister’s wedding.
