Breast Cancer Why Me? 


I only took estrogen, my hormone levels were normal, I only took birth control, I had no family history of breast cancer. Why is this happening to me? How do I prevent it? 


The main reason that I decided to write this book was to clear up the misconceptions that my patients had about hormone replacement therapy, and to explain the difference between birth control pills and hormone replacement therapy. My patients were confused about different kinds of bio-identical hormones available, and were concerned about the risk of breast cancer. Based on the research that I had done at the Mayo Clinic and the results of my own case studies, I decided to write this book to answer the most common questions that my patients have. I included some of my interviews in this book (changing the name and age of the patients). The main message of this book is to understand that not only do synthetic hormones, birth control pills and bio-identical hormones cause breast cancer, but your own ovary production of hormones can cause cancer. I hope this book will be a key to saving the lives of many women who are confused about hormones and will help them understand the need for choosing the correct hormone therapy. Also, I hope this book helps women to start participating in the decision making process with their own doctors when they choose to begin hormone replacement therapy.
