Carl the Pesky Camel

Descripción editorial

This story talks about the destructive nature of camels on an outback community. Pitjantjatjara language has been incorporated into this book.

In 2014, the Feral Animals Enviro-Stories program provided kids from five schools around Australia with the opportunity to write and illustrate stories about feral animals and their impacts on both biodiversity and agriculture.

Schools were supported by local Natural Resource Management organisations to help them learn about their local feral animal. This project has resulted in five books published, printed and distributed as well as interactive books developed.

This book was prepared by students from Oak Valley Anangu School with support from the Invasive Animals CRC and Natural Resources Alinytjara Wilurara. Special thanks to the Oak Valley community members who were also involved in the development of this book.
