Modern Heavy Transport

The main target for the book series „Heavy-Haulage-History“ is to collect and preserve as much as possible of old documents about the development of the heavy transport industry to show the ingenuity and brilliance at that time - both on the vehicle manufacturers and the vehicle operator's side.


This first book is based on an original brochure of the M•R•S Ltd., approx. dated around 1930. To preserve the authenticity of this old brochure and the special point of view on „modern transport“ at that time, I left the original wording unchanged and added some descriptions of related Patents and more than 30 color photographs of the famous Scammell 100-Tonner KD 9168, taken by the author at the British Commercial Vehicle Museum at Leyland.
