Of a Boy and a Dragon

“Why do they think I’ll destroy their crops … and … things?”
Joe didn’t like the answer but knew it needed to be said.
“Because you’re a dragon.”

For Joe, the summer isn’t looking as exciting as he’d hoped. He’s the only boy left at boarding school and the holidays seem in danger of becoming incurably dull. But his crazy science professor is planning a trip in a very special yacht, one that sails on summer grass instead of water. When he invites Joe along, things start getting interesting. Suddenly he’s fighting monsters, flying on griffons, sitting on the edge of the world – the real edge of the world – and watching magic dance in the moonlight. And somehow he must find the courage to save the life of a dragon when no one else will. All whilst trying to keep himself from becoming a schoolboy-sized snack.

And he thought the holidays were going to be boring …
