Descripción editorial
Charles "Charley" Veneziale headed a mob gang that specialized in the bootleg liquor trade. On October 3, 1958 the Philadelphia Inquirer reported that subpoenas had been issued to three senior New Jersey syndicate members. Among the most prominent names listed were East Hanover, NJ mobster Alfred H. Salerno, Veneziale enforcer Anthony Caponigro and Philadelphia mobster Peter Casella. Trials followed with convictions in 1959 and 1960. These Mafiosi were contemporaries of prominent Philadelphia gangsters Angelo Bruno and Felix "Skinny Razor" De Tullio.
