Publisher Description

1 The dispositive issue for review is whether, under the provisions of 10 O.S.Supp. 1974 ? 60.6 (3), the mothers consent to the adoption was correctly declared to be unnecessary. We answer in the negative. The childs statutory eligibility status for adoption without its mothers consent depends here upon [1] whether the mothers failure to provide support in the discharge of her unadjudicated financial responsibility was "wilful" and [2] whether the contributions she claimed to have made meet the statutory standard and may hence be treated as "support".
