The book is used as a teaching resource based on the Swedish curriculum and is the first in a series of three books in biology for students aged 13-16. Biology 7 covers the following topics: The origin, development, and diversity of life. Local and global ecosystems. Relationships between populations and available resources. Photosynthesis, cellular respiration, the cycling of matter, and the flow of energy. Human impact on nature locally and globally, as well as how sustainable development can be promoted at individual and societal levels. The importance of biological diversity and ecosystem services. Each section concludes with various types of study tasks, and throughout the book, there are pedagogical illustrations that explain important concepts.
