Publisher Description

For an unfair employment discrimination claim resulting in job termination, where an unequivocal, unconditional notice of
termination is given, the statute of limitations begins to run from the time the notice of termination is received by the
employee. When does the statute of limitations begin to run on an unfair employment discrimination practice claim resulting in job
termination? At the time the employer gives the employee notice of termination, or at the time termination actually occurs?
We think the former, and we reverse the court of appeals.
