Ella Mae, a lone woman took up the challenge of registering for the Oklahoma Land Rush of 1893. She was skilled with the use of a bull whip, pistol, shotgun and a Bowie knife, and used these skills to survive. She also used the skills she learned on her parents farm to settle on vigin land untouched by human hand.
