The Legend of the Witness Tree

A child oncologist loses his daughter in a car wreck - and with her, his passion for medicine. He withdraws into a cold, materialistic view of his profession, one in which the psychology of his patients is ignored - plummeting their recovery rates. It takes a young leukemia survivor and a pair of children's entertainers to teach Daniel Jamieson that cheer is the natural concomitant of health, both mental and physical, and that healing begins with benevolent laughter.
