Truth Consistently Stranger than Fiction

  

Human history, on an evolutionary scale, is very brief. All living organisms have evolved through the same five nucleobases, with human gene sequences similar to that of a banana, let alone mushroom or elephant!

      

The advent of farming, city-states, and countries, is a relatively recent phenomenon. This broad domestication has dulled mankind’s ability to effectively communicate with his natural surroundings, inflicting permanent destructive effects on ecosystems and environment.

      

Ironically, industrialisation has spawned the digital age, with near light speed information sharing providing powerful means to attenuate man-made damage. Interestingly, close scrutiny of online news and social media interfaces highlights strikingly consistent patterns in the ‘theatre’ of human behaviour and outcome, seemingly to predictive levels. Orthodox explanations are random flux, artificial intelligence and others’ imagination. Sound concepts such as quantum entanglement, dark energy and biosphere resonance can help explain consistently recurring, simultaneous, distant phenomena, which otherwise may be considered unrelated. This raises the issue of interactions between human subconscious streaming, thought perception, and executive function, ‘free will,’ if you please.

      

Individuals are becoming increasingly aware they are 21st century global citizens, each with unique communicative abilities. Further, earnest projects and research exist to detect and communicate with extraterrestrial life forms. But what if the signal was already here, sent long ago, with humans either not listening proficiently or choosing wilful ignorance?

      

Begging the question; what in hell does all this scientific jargon and alarmist UFO cornstalk bubble have to do with a collection of bite-size poems aimed for enjoyment by all ages!
