Publisher Description
Adobe Illustrator Exercises provides teachers with a series of graduated Adobe Illustrator activities. These can be given directly to students or used by teachers in the development of their own course materials.
The purpose of the exercises is to give teachers ideas of the types of artwork and designs that could be produced by students. Teachers can then teach Adobe Illustrator in their preferred way.
The exercises do not provide detailed instructions on how to create the artwork or designs, but they do provide brief instructions on the Adobe Illustrator features that could be used. If more detailed instructions are required, then the Learning Adobe Illustrator 2024 Modules (available from www.gct.com.au) would be more appropriate.
The exercises cover using Adobe Illustrator’s drawing tools, text features, duplicating tools, fills, rotation and effects, along with using the blob brush tool, the shaper tool, the shape builder and knife tools, using symbols, image tracing, liquify and puppet warp effects, blends and paths, the mesh tool, the pen and curvature tools, and the envelope tools. There are also exercises on using layers, perspective drawing, creating 3D objects, adding content to 3D objects, using the text to vector graphic generator, using art, pattern and bristle brushes, creating shadows and reflections, using artboards, creating accurate (or CAD) designs, intertwining objects, mockup designs and creating charts.
There are support files provided in the ILLUSTRATOR SUPPORT FILES (which can be downloaded from www.gct.com.au) when exercises need images or detailed text.
