Following Jesus' on the Spectrum

Performing arts entertainer Leslie Barnett was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome at fifty-four when his young son received the same diagnosis. In this book you will read how Leslie struggled with his disability when trying to settle into a spiritual home. The author says that his diagnose was to affirm a genetic link from which test revealed traits from his mothers side of the family which eventually ended in a nasty divorce with his son and wife blaming him for his disability.
Leslie a firm believer of destiny, says that he was foreordained into the Roberts lineage for purposes of inventing electronic devices to educate students in the disciplines of math, science and technology. And although these skills taught him a deep understanding of Bible truths it inevitably resulted in his banishment from many churches.

Mr Barnett further explains how his questioning mind lead him to Sir Isaac Newton's quest in reestablishing 2nd century apologist Tertullian's TRINITY and its accompanying gifts of the spirit as mentioned in 1 Corinthians chapter 12-14.
"It seems to me that today's Mega-churches have lost the identity of the nature of God and the Wesleyan occurrences of supernatural experiences.But more-so, the art of uniting families and long-severed friendships in true fellowship in the body of Christ"- says Leslie.

Chapter three addresses the controversial 'Prosperity Doctrine' while chapters five and six tells of Leslie’s battle with empathy and anxiety. Of special interest is chapter seven when trying to make sense out of the Pentecostal movement including the speaking in tongues; and in the closing statement regarding biotech companies harvesting (aborted) human tissue for the manufacture of future vaccines.

Last but not least is chapter twelve which is dedicated to the “Mysterious Messengers" - the angels of God, who have played a vital role in producing this work.This book will not only enlighten you to the effects of autism on Christian living but will leave you questioning your faith.
