Forward Day by Day: May, June, July 2023

Inspiring readers since our first issue was published in 1935, Forward Day by Day remains a significant resource for daily prayer and Bible study to more than a half million readers worldwide.

 

Forward Day by Day is a booklet of daily inspirational meditations reflecting on a specific Bible passage, chosen from the daily lectionary readings as listed in the Revised Common Lectionary or the Daily Office from the Episcopal Church's Book of Common Prayer.

 

The meditations are rich in substance and offer a wide range of witness and experiences. Each month’s meditation is written by a different author, providing fresh and diverse messages to readers on a regular basis.

 

Forward Day by Day is published quarterly: February/March/April; May/June/July; August/September/October; and November/December/January. 

 

 

ABOUT THE AUTHORS

Perry M. Pauley is the associate priest at Trinity Cathedral in Phoenix, Arizona. Before pursuing ordination in the Episcopal Church, Perry worked as a professor and an entrepreneur. Perry has been married to Michelle since 2003, and they have two children, Elias and Alayna.

 

June

Terry J. Stokes is an associate pastor at the Reformed Church of Highland Park, New Jersey and was confirmed at St. Philip’s Episcopal Church in Harlem, New York. A graduate of Princeton Theological Seminary and Yale University, he is an avid spikeball player, songwriter, and pop culture enthusiast. He is the author of Prayers for the People: Things We Didn’t Know We Could Say to God.

Minelis Tamayo Megret was born in Guantánamo, Cuba. She teaches literature and edits the magazine Luz in Holguín University. In 2013 she joined the Episcopal Church, where she teaches catechism and serves as diocesan secretary for Episcopal Church Women in Cuba.
