Lost Horizon

Lost Horizon, also adapted in a film by the same name was one of the bestselling novels by James Hilton who was an accomplished screenplay writer and journalist. The plot revolves around four people, escaping the political unrest in Baskul, China by boarding a plane, bound for Peshawar. The plane, gets  hijacked and eventually crash lands deep in the far reaches of the Tibetan Himalayas. Seeking shelter, the group soon finds themselves in the valley of the blue moon, guests at a lamasery, called Shangri-La. Many travelers and adventurers since then have tried to find the valley and discover the truth behind it.
