Reasons to Believe in the Institutional Church

“Reasons to Believe in the Institutional Church” was inspired by a presentation by that title given by Krister Stendahl, former Dean of the Faculty of Divinity at Harvard. While I do not remember his points, I cannot forget his title. It was refreshing to embrace his advocacy for the church, for then, as now, critics of the church seemed more common than church mice. And so, after a career as a Senior Pastor of churches and after the manner of Krister Stendahl, I offer in this book my reasons for believing in the institutional church.
