Season Of Change

The chapters of Season of Change chronicle the formation and development of a friendship that has been described as a David and Jonathon relationship with the backdrop of a woman struggling with ovarian cancer.

Season of Change differs from other books that have been written on the same subject by the following:  first of all, an Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) has written this.  Secondly, and most importantly, throughout the book, the Gospel or Good News message of salvation is clearly presented.  Thirdly, this book challenges the barriers between a Protestant and devout Catholic Sister.

Spirituality is not embraced as a new concept to improve the health of the patient, but introduced as the way of life for each of the main characters, the nurse and the patient.  Over all, the reader can conclude that the grace of God is sufficient for all our needs.  As the story progresses, there is less emphasis on the temporal, physical, and more on the eternal spiritual.

Basically, this book appeals to the individual diagnosed with cancer or other life-threatening chronic illness and those people, professional or lay, who care for cancer survivors.  Numerous Protestants and Catholics are interested in reading this book to develop greater insight into what the other believes.
