Smyrna is Burning

The date 1922 in Smyrna was so horrific that it boggled the mind to even think that humans could treat other humans by burning thousands of their houses and pouring gasoline onto the people themselves and then igniting  them too  by the troops of Turkish Commander in Chief, Mustafa Kemal Attaturk. This was simply because Turkey wanted Smyrna to be populated only by Turks and to become a part of Turkey. They proceeded to eradicate the Greek, Armenian, and Assyrian quarters. The rest of the world watched passively because they were "Neutral" This is the story of one typical family of that time: their lives. loves and tragedies which touched upon others and you will see how the lucky ones survived this horror mainly because of the humanity of one man: Asa K.
