»Sometimes life goes where I want to. And sometimes I go where life wants to.«



After a life influenced for decades by alcoholism, anorexia, and self-destruction, Wiebke, now 43 years old, goes on a pilgrimage. She walks alone, following the Way of St. James, from Trier in Germany to Santiago in Spain, some 1500 miles.



She takes the reader along on a journey, not only through the landscapes of France and Northern Spain, but also through her turbulent life. Her very personal and touching language gives the reader the feeling of being on the Way with her, with the strong desire to put on the boots and to start hiking along.
