Publisher Description
What all can happen when Adam swallows a beehive? He can hardly sip at his grandmother's lemonade. All the time he has to keep his mouth half open so that the bees do not suffocate. And with the buzzing hive in his stomach he cannot go to school. So he decides to find out how to redisguise from a beehive into a boy. On his adventurous jurney he encounters the Tiredness walking backward, dwarfish nation, weeping Antelope, yellow butterfly, old woman and man who grew together and biology professor who knows and understands everything. This earthly but delicate story by Miloš Kopták – in which the illustration is a partner, not an appendix of the text – is a unique immersion in the fantasy world of boys (and girls) a moment before they are able to explain the surrouning events logically. The story evokes in the infantile (but also adult) reader a ticklish sense of adventurous cognition, the temptation to ask „why is it so“ and look for further and further connections even after having read the book.
