In the Yiddish Book Center's third annual Pakn Treger Translation Issue, an anthology of Yiddish works newly translated into English, post-modernist Yiddish writers rub shoulders with turn-of-the-century jokesters and masters of Yiddish short fiction, in stories set in wartime central Asia, Warsaw, and revolutionary Russia.
