A Call to the Sky

Becoming a courier pilot, just like his ace mother, was all Toume d’Nezuhmy ever wanted. He’d seek adventure, flying to the far reaches of the planet. His father indulged his dream and let him learn, then sent him to bury his head in the rules of the clan. The son of a chieftain’s task was to learn how to lead the island, not seek thrills in the sky.
But Toume wouldn’t give up. He pressed until his father allowed him to pilot a few routes a year. Toume respected his father, and he obeyed, until the High Priestess of the Drakhen clan offered him a curious mission—deliver a mysterious package to the far side of the world. If he was successful, Toume would win the right to marry her daughter.
All is not as easy as it seems. Rival clans stand in his path to success, and danger fills the mission. Should he fly wrong, he could wind up dead, or worse—a failed union between him and the Drahken heir would destroy the only alliance that protects his clan from destruction.
