The last thing Beth expects to find in Penzance is romance. When her mum is hospitalised after falling in the garden Beth rushes down to Cornwall to take care of her. With Christmas less than three weeks away Beth's family holiday in Scotland now appears to be up in the air. Beth's Mum is a leading light at the local church and she asks Beth to stand in and pick up a few of the activities she's involved with. Reluctantly, Beth agrees and when she discovers just what she's signed up for she can't believe how busy she's going to be. Singing in the choir, cooking for the Christmas Bazaar, helping the children at the local primary school to make their Christingles, whatever they are, and a whole lot of other festive stuff. She's a bit miffed until she meets the Vicar of St. Piran's, not the old relic she'd half expected but a beautiful man so far away from her 'normal type' that she couldn't even think of him beyond the mince pies and decorating the church hall. Or could she?
