A Framework for Understanding Movement

Warren Lamb’s latest publication for Brechin Books is a distillation of his life’s work. A Framework for Understanding Movement: My Seven Creative Concepts explains his development of all that he learnt whilst working for twelve years with Rudolf Laban and the need he then experienced to develop a Framework so that Movement could be taught and studied in a disciplined way. From an inevitable proliferation of terms he arrived at clear definitions aiming to avoid confusion and misinterpretation in the future. This short book will be helpful to Laban Movement Analysts across a broad spectrum. It has already been described by one as “concise and well-written” and as making clear exactly where Warren Lamb’s contribution has added to the field of Laban movement study.
