A Modern Telemachus

A classic novel based on a historic incident in which a French vessel, traveling to Spain, is captured by Algerian pirates. The novel narrates the adventures of Arthur Maxwell Hope as he bravely rescues Countess de Bourke, her little girl Estelle and others on board. The book is highly informative as it throws light on international politics of the period, customs and traditions, and different geographical locations. Amusing!
