A Town Forgotten

Sheriff JD Pickens, despite overwhelming challenges, has shown remarkable resilience in dealing with some of the most heinous crimes in his career as the Sheriff of a small rural county in Central Florida. Understaffed and with limited resources, he has had to rely on others at times. With his chief detective missing, he has had to rely on Corporal Billy Thompson, his office computer guru, as his backup.
As Sheriff JD Pickens grapples with a mass murder and a serial killing, the pressure mounts to levels he's never experienced. The toll on his health and psyche forces him to the sidelines, his duties now in the hands of others. It's a situation he's not used to, but he has no choice but to accept it as it's beyond his control.
