Großartig, stimmig, grausam
Wie so oft bei Ian Banks gilt auch hier: Die Situation ist viel hoffnungsloser, als man vermutet hätte.
Trotzdem - oder gerade deswegen - faszinierend, mit vielen exotischen bis absurden Ideen und Characteren und immer innovativ.
Dass die Auflösung des Rätsels um die faszinierende kleine Welt, die hier im Stil eines "Road Movies" präsentiert wird, dann in einem Nebensatz geliefert wird, kann man als cool oder arrogant auffassen - oder beides. Insbesonder, da sie ja eigentlich schon im Titel steckt...
Auf jeden Fall eins seiner besten SF-Bücher.
