This is the prologue to ... the full novel coming in 2014 Her Sweetness.
After surviving a hit on his life, orchestrated by his ex girlfriend, Mix retires from the NBA. Mix, emotionally detached and wounded by the betrayal of the woman that he thought would wear his ring and take his last name looks at the contest as another business venture. When the winner of the contest arrives in Charlotte, NC from Texas, she is not what he expects. His cousin warns Mix to remember to keep his libido under control, but when Amina arrives she presents a challenge to keeping it strictly a platonic date.
