Ambushed By Love

Rock drummer Kelly Maguire ran afoul of someone. They keep dumping dead bodies on her doorstep. To appease her relatives, she consents to getting a K9. 

Echo is a former Military Working Dog who lost her handler. She is brought back and retrained to become Kelly's guard dog. She also saves them both from being poisoned. At a stop for food, Echo drags the drummer to someone she remembers.
