Angie's Angel

The screaming was almost unbearable as it echoed through the lower chambers of the cave. Angie plugged her ears with her fingers and clinched her yees shut as she desperately tried to focus on something else, anything else, another time and place in the past that wasn't as bad, or a fantasy of where she would be in the future if she ever lived to see it. Her mind took flight, searching for anything that would offer her hope and at the same time drown out the misery and horror of her present reality. Who was it? she thought. Which one of these poor unfortunate girls was screaming now and why? Maybe it was a new girl they had just captured. Could it be Elsa? Oh, dear God, don't let it be Elsa...or...or... She just could not think anymore, nor did she want to. Afraid to even speak, she prayed in her mind, Please, dear God, send my angel to take me and Megan out of this hell.
