Apocoliptic Dreams REDUX

In March of 1994 Jeff Pacitto, Darryl Smith, and Mehmet Mike Isguder released the first issue of Apocoliptic Dreams. The three friends met in elementary school, connected by a love for comics and art that continues to this very day.


Catching the wave of the local indie scene in Toronto at the time, they began publishing and distributing Apocoliptic Dreams, an “ashcan” style book at comic shops in and around the Toronto area. With a small but growing fan base, they began to attend local conventions and publish ancillary titles to showcase the storytelling of others.


From 1994 to 1998 issue one of Apocoliptic Dreams saw eight reprints, but in January of 1998, with big plans on the horizon and twelve issues of Apocoliptic Dreams in circulation, Outer Edge Comics stopped all their publications.


One of these plans was for a “Special Edition” of issue one with completely redone artwork. While that project never came about, this book is the evolution of that dream: a touched up and cleaned up version of the original Apocoliptic Dreams #1!
