Approaches to Music and Movement for Children with Severe and Profound Multiple Disabilities‪.‬

Abstract Four approaches to music and movement for children with severe and profound multiple disabilities are outlined and discussed in terms of goals, activities, the role of the music therapist, the role of the physiotherapist, and the role of music. Elements that music therapists consider when designing music and movement programs for this population are also identified. The article is informed by a literature review and the author's clinical experience.
