A revised edition of the original which is widely used in Irish language training courses about the media and communications. The new edition takes into account the major changes and developments which have occurred in the Irish media sector since 2007 and includes additional features such as guidance on editorial matters and a comprehensive discussion of the new media. The Irish Times wrote of this second edition that its 'introduction and commentaries are pithy and informative while the short interviews provided by contributors offer a practical overview of what journalists do and the difficulties they face in providing information in a language not everyone “sometimes even those being interviewed“ speaks.'
