When Rhiannon Valeran took her rightful place as Archdruid over a decade ago, she believed her life was finally falling into place. The elders no longer hunted her or her husband, Ed, and they raised their family in peace. But peace never lasts.

When a portal opens up, it destroys their island and Ann, Ed and their daughter, Vivienne are injured. When Ed and Vivienne are sucked through the portal to a world of monsters, Ann is left alone.
