An attempt to save the women from the Library in the Forest suddenly becomes unimportant when an unfortunate death forces Buckeye to once more sail west to Midway in search of her heritage. Meanwhile, the Paguans seek revenge for the death of Lord Obrin and will stop at nothing to bring down the Twenty-One Butterflies, including starting a war.
