They didn’t come any wilder or more reckless than country boy Ivan. The problem was, he was as mad as a cut snake with it. To the local cops, Ivan was a damned infernal nuisance. He had a bad reputation among his mates too, who knew not to trust him when he had a rifle under his arm. He would swing it around with the lightning speed of a bushranger who has just sighted the constabulary on his tail. God help you if you stood within a mile of him. To put it bluntly, Ivan Milat was an effing nutcase. Yes, although Australia has some of the most poisonous snakes in the world, they do not compare to the notoriety or the deadly threat that Ivan Milat, the backpacker murderer, posed to those traversing the highway in his personal neck of the woods. He knew that bush like the back of his hand. To make matters worse, he also knew how to handle guns. That made him lethal.
