BARE LIES

WHEN the Boxer Boys hatch a plan to muscle their way to the top of the east London drugs scene they send hard man Chuck Dolan to teach their rivals a lesson.

     But after a grenade goes off accidentally, destroying an east London nightclub and leaving four dead, Chuck fears murder detectives will link him to the crime. 

     While forensic teams scour the wreckage for clues, Chuck and his younger brother Sly are smuggled out of the country to stay with their legendary criminal grandfather Billy 'The Kid' Dolan on Spain's Costa Blanca.

     Yet any ideas Chuck harbours of a leisurely holiday in the sun are quickly shattered.

     A series of frightening events take place that leads Chuck to suspect his grandfather's present-day 'business' partners – a female Colombian cartel boss with a reputation for poisoning her enemies and a former Irish paramilitary with a liking for extreme violence – might be responsible.

     Sly soon adds to his worries by setting out to satisfy his wild urges in an unfamiliar city where danger lurks around every corner.

     Throw an ex-girlfriend and a mysterious drifter into the mix and it all adds up to the Spanish holiday from hell for the eldest member of the Boxer Boys clan.

     As his deep sense of family loyalty is put to the test, Chuck must identify and thwart Billy's enemies before the old man's dream of blissful retirement with young wife Alisha is buried six feet under.

      And with the police closing in on his scent, Chuck embarks on a race against time, unaware there is one shocking secret from Billy's past which is about to blow his cosy Costa life apart.
