Be Careful. Be Safe

Water, fire, knives, electricity, phones, medicine, bikes and even pets all help us every day, but they can also be dangerous. In Be Careful, Be Safe, a curious young girl shows how each everyday thing helps her, then explains how it could hurt her if she isn't careful. The simple sentences and bright, friendly pictures help young children understand everyday risks at home, at school and on the road. The book ends with ten discussion questions for parents and teachers to talk through with children. It is written in both English and Khmer, so it works well for bilingual families and classrooms.
