Saphira lived with her aunt Lisa since the crash that took the life of her father. Saphira felt it was her fault, He hadn't said where they were going only that it was a surprise and he would explain everything soon.
Her Aunt Pamela made sure to remind her every day that she was also responsible for her mothers death as well. Saphira's mother had died while in labor with her.
