In his short story Belief, Brian Gee tells the story of love and hope. A priest falls in love and starts a family, only for his daughter to be diagnosed with cancer and the experience takes its toll on the couple's marriage and their belief in God. He fails to understand God's plan but experiences different activities that awaken his belief and he realises some things aren't as easy as they seem.
