Belinda's Dandelion

A dandelion wakes up for the first time. All around her are different types of flowers. She praises each flower for its special beauty. A crocus tells the dandelion that her beautiful yellow head is like the sun. Everyone is happy until a dark cloud passes over the garden.
A wizened perennial bursts forth with hateful words. She points out that the dandelion has no value. It also has no feelings. Her ancient family has fought countless wars to rid the world of weeds.
