Biofuels

A large number of biofuels have been developed in the recent years to overcome the challenges associated with depletion of fossil fuels and environmental pollution. Especially, major breakthroughs with respect to feedstocks, synthesis, properties and applications of the high-quality biofuels have been achieved. Though many challenges exist till date which hinder the large scale commercialization of these materials, however, it is envisaged that growth in the technological knowhow as well as new feedstocks in the near future will continue to drive the development of biofuels.
